FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you work with employers outside Alberta?

Yes. We work with employers across Canada, in every province and territory. Our recent approvals include employers in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.

What happens after I submit the assessment?

Our team reviews your answers and follows up with the honest next step. If the LMIA route fits, we book you an employer consultation. If it does not, we tell you, and point you to an option that may suit you better.

What do you need from me to start?

Your business details, the positions and wages, how many workers you need, and your timeline. The assessment above collects exactly that.

Can you help if my worker is already in Canada?

Yes. We support employers hiring workers who are already in Canada as well as workers who are overseas. One of our carpenter approvals covered candidates from both.

How long does an LMIA take?

ESDC processing times vary by stream and change often. We give you the current estimate for your stream at your consultation and keep you updated while your file is in progress.

Do you also handle the workers' work permits?

Yes. Once the LMIA is positive, we guide your workers through their work permit applications, so you deal with one team the whole way.
